Hermes 9

Today I get to tell you all about the day I was born. After giving birth to me, my mom went to sleep. I got bored pretty quickly and went out to see the world. There were so many plants and animals and insects to discover, and the area around my mom's cave was filled with vibrant life. Eventually I came upon Apollo's pasture filled with his prized cattle. They were very fine cows, and I decided that I might want to borrow a few. I, however, was not stingy while picking out a 'few' of Apollo's best bovines, which ended up being fifty of them. I led them backwards out of the pasture, so that it looked like someone had led something in, but not out. I also attached sticks to my feet to disguise my tiny toddler toes and make it seem as though a giant had led something into Apollo's pasture. When I was out of sight, I sacrificed three of the cattle, and let the rest graze. While I was going back to my mom's cave, I found an empty tortise shell, and made a new instrument called the lyre.

After this, I went back asleep as if I had been there all along. Soon, however, I was awakened as Apollo stormed into our cave with a crazy notion in his head that somehow my little infant self had stolen fifty of his herd. Nope, definitely not me... Well Apollo didn't quite believe that and took my to Olympus to have me put on trial. Lucky for me, my brother was very fond of music, and when I took out my lyre and started to play it, Apollo offered to drop all charges in exchange for it. I even got to keep his cows! Now we are best buddies, and I haven't stolen since, even though I am the god of thieves.

Hermes 8

The resolution of this myth was definitely when Apollo dropped all charges of 'he stole my bovines'. What a relief! Now Apollo and I are great friends. We are big-time music buddies, and I guess we are brothers.

Hermes 7

I think that the climax of this adventure was when I was tried by my dad, Zeus. This was the point where I could have had my first criminal offense... On the day I was born. That would not have been good. Luckily for me I pulled out my lyre and started playing it. Apollo was enthralled, and dropped all charges. Whew! That was definitely the most exciting and nerve racking part, or, at least for me.

Hermes 6

In my first adventure, I had a conflict that had to do with lots of very special bovines. I stole fifty of my brother's best cows, and sacrificed three of them to the Gods of Olympus. Now, Apollo wasn't  to happy about this, and took me to court with our dad Zeus. During the trial, I started playing my newly invented instrument, the lyre, and Apollo took it and dropped all charges of cattle thievery. Now we are great friends.

Hermes 5

On the day I was born, I met lots of new people. The first person I saw in my life was my mother, Maia. She is shy, but also very kind. She has long brown hair, and a kind, knowing face.

The next person who I met was Apollo, my older brother. He seemed very tall at the time, since I was only an infant, and he has blond hair with clear, blue eyes. He was very mad at me when we first met, on account of my stealing his cows, but now we are the best of buddies.
The last person that I met that day was my dad, Zeus. He seemed amused at what I had done at such a young age. My dad is pretty cool, what with being the supreme leader of the universe and all. He has a huge, muscular build, contradictory to his white hair and beard. He is wise, but also can become very angry. I mean, one time he flooded the entire world. Overall though, my dad is a good guy.

Hermes 4

I had a very eventful first birthday. It involved stealing cows, sacrificing these cows to the Olympian Gods, being tried by these Gods for theft of large red cows, and inventing an instrument. I was busy. That day started as I was born in a cave tucked away and hidden from the outside world. It was cool and dark, and had an earthy smell. My mother's cave was not one of those damp, drippy-roofed caves, but rather was dry and warm. But the cave was boring. Staring at the stone walls all day didn't seem like a good use of my first day in this world, and so I went exploring. Outside, the landscape seemed so fresh and cheerful. I walked a ways, toddling through grass taller than myself, content to smell the new scents brought by a slow, refreshing breeze. The whole area was very nice, and was a nice first view of the world in which I eternally exist.
